Now I have to give myself a new made-up job title
My favorite thing about entrepreneurship is that you get to invent your job title.
I’m still figuring out the best packaging for my magic. I have a deep desire to spew my heart all over you and help you see the most radiant and vibrant version of yourself. I do that through teaching online courses and 1:1 mentorship. But I don’t want to lump myself in with a bunch of Instagram yahoos who are just trying to make a quick buck.
Don’t get me wrong, I love quick bucks as much as the next gal, but my deeply sensitive and ever-loving Leo heart wants to actually help people too.
Entrepreneurship feels like a journey through that swamp in the Neverending Story. Like Atreyu, I am on a mission. It’s pretty fucking epic, too. I have gone through several iterations of job titles, but I haven’t found one that captures the essence of my soul’s purpose.
What does one call oneself when they are part artist, astrologer, tarot reader, crystal queen, meditator, writer, and coach?
Here are a few job titles that I’ve played around with:
🌟 Esoteric Guide
🌟 Cosmic Pleasure Witch
🌟 Spiritual Cheerleader (I have the business cards to prove it)
🌟 Self-Love Advocate
For now, I am going with Self-Care Coach.
It seems like it captures my love for mystical and interpretive tools for self-discovery with my ability to hold space for you as you unearth your ability to heal yourself at a soul level.
I advise my highly sensitive and empathic clients as they remember that they are meant to lives full of passion, pleasure, and creativity.
One thing is for certain, I am not referring to myself as a healer (anymore). The foundation upon which all my work is built stems from my main value and guiding principle: All healing is self-healing.
That’s right, friend. You are in charge of your healing, I am in charge of my healing.
Any step that you take toward your wellness and spiritual growth is your decision. Whether that is going to a doctor, a Reiki practitioner, a chiropractor, or a therapist, you are the one who dared to make yourself better.
No one else is doing it for you. You are taking the medication you need, you are meditating and journaling, and you are showing up for yoga class. The facilitators of these scenarios are simply holding space for you to heal yourself.
If they tell you otherwise, run!
I don’t consider myself a healer because I want you to feel empowered. Teach a person to fish, and all that…
So, here’s to you on your journey...🥂
